Spiritual Health Assessment

What does it mean to be the handiwork of God? That question sits at the heart of this session, drawing us into a rich exploration of Ephesians 1 and 2. We are not an afterthought in God's plan. We are the plan. From the moment of our salvation to the daily work he has prepared in advance for us to do, God's intentionality toward us is staggering. The passage in Ephesians 1 reminds us that we were chosen, sealed with the Holy Spirit as a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance, and called to reflect the praise of his glory. That deposit is not invisible. The people around us can see it, and it raises questions in them that only the gospel can answer. As we think about our own spiritual health, this session invites us to ask honestly where we are today and where we hope to be. Growth is not a one-time event. The goals we set for ourselves 12 months ago look different now because we are different now, and God continues to place new opportunities in front of us that match our expanding capacity to walk with him.
