WOMEN'S MINISTRIES
Bridal and Baby Showers
Laura Brock and Micki Wayland are our shower coordinators
who make sure that all new brides and new moms are recognized. Different groups of
women may host the showers. All women are encouraged to attend and support our
brides and moms-to-be.
Meal Trains
When members of our Southpoint family are in need of meals, Latina
Brumfield and Mistie Brooks organize a meal train. Everyone is invited to sign
up to take a meal to a family in need. The meal train link may be emailed or is posted
on the Southpoint Church of Christ Ladies Facebook page.
Thursday Morning Bible Classes
This Bible class meets at the Southpoint building in
one of the downstairs classrooms. The study starts at 9:30 am and goes to 10:45 am.
All ladies are invited to attend. See Ann Lewis or Terri West for more information.
SOAR dinners
These dinners are held on a Saturday evening in the months of
September -November and January-March. They begin at 5:30 pm and end at 7:15 pm.
Ladies can enjoy a delicious meal and hear a message from one of our Southpoint
women that is sure to inspire and encourage. Announcements with specific dates are in
the bulletin and on the Southpoint Church of Christ Ladies Facebook page.
Craft Days
Craft days are held quarterly in the Southpoint fellowship hall. Women are
encouraged to invite their friends and bring their current craft project to work on during
the event. Often women will demonstrate a new type of craft for those interested in
learning something new. See Jennifer Hardesty for more information.
Christmas Brunch
This festive event is held each year on a Saturday morning in
December. All the women of the congregation and any of their friends are welcome to
attend a tasty brunch, do a Christmas craft, exchange holiday cookies and participate in
a gift exchange. Don’t miss the fun!
Women Walking with God Rebroadcast
Each year in April, approximately two
weeks after the Women Walking with God conference in Wichita, the Southpoint
Women’s Ministry hosts a rebroadcast of the conference. For any ladies who were
unable to attend in person, this rebroadcast offers all of the wonderful speakers on
video. On a Saturday, from 8:15 am - 2:00 pm, women from all congregations in the
area can hear and see these important messages. Lunch is served and there is no cost
to attend. Information on dates and presenters can be found in the bulletin, on the
Southpoint Church of Christ Ladies Facebook page and on fliers around the building.
